I am running on Windows XP Pro, i own a Gateway GT5404, and i want to run a system recovery, i lost all the CDs that came with the computer. but have all the drivers saved in a folder on my protable hard drive, due to a program called Driver Genius Professional Edition. but i cant restore all my drivers after rebooting it for some reason. it tend to crash and i got to reboot my PC all over again…..Note: This computer used to Run on WIndows Vista but i lost the CDs and Used Windows XP Pro to reboot, not the computer is running on XP and i would like it to stay that way.

If your computer was previously running Vista, you saved Vista drivers, you need to install drivers for xp.
I go to the start menu click on accessories then system tools and then system restore. Follow steps from here. Hope this works.
