My computer keeps randomly crashing?

I Me Mine asked in Q&A:

Hi everyone =D
I have a weird problem with my computer. It’s a windows XP, and it had been running perfectly until recently, when it started randomly crashing every once in a while.
There is no pattern in the crashes, sometime it’s when I’m playing a game (like the sims 3), and sometimes it’s when I’m online. I’ve tried uninstalling all my new softwares and changing my internet browser, but it didn’t change anything.
When my computer crashes the programs don’t go into “not responding” or anything, the computer just restarts and then says “the system shut down because of an error” (my operating system is not in english so I can’t tell you exactly what it says). It doesn’t seem to damage the computer (no data is lost), but it’s annoying and I want it to stop.
Can anyone help me?

BTW, I’ve checked for viruses and I don’t have any.
The location and the language are not the problem. I live in Israel and my computer is in Hebrew. I’ve updated my framework and it didn’t help…

I will try cleaning it, though, I’ll see if that works.

not in english ? could be the problem. where are you located ? you may need a download from microsoft for that all language problem. frame work , flash player , java updates are all important to keeping in the matter stream.i’m thinking there may be a lot of dust built up inside the tower. check for ventalation. if it is clogged then you may have to take the cover off it to clean it. get specific directions before you begin.

The most likely causes are the corrupted or missing registry files and error in recently installed application. The files in your registry contain instructions for every program and application in your computer. When they become corrupted with errors or go missing, the computer will have a hard time running the programs, and crash as a result. So you should get rid of the errors. You can use a Registry cleaner.
Registry cleaners are tools which have been created to scan through the registry. They work by scanning each file and then checking to see if it’s corrupt or causing problems. If they find that it is broken, the registry cleaner will replace or fix the file for you to make your computer speed up and become free of errors.
If you have recently installed a new program or file just before your computer crashed, it could very likely be the another source of the problem. You should find the program and uninstall it. If you are unable to boot up your computer in normal mode, you might have to try it in safe mode first.
