I have a gateway tablet, recently windows media player 11 beta crashed my computer. the first sign of something going wrong was my sound was gone, no system sound, audio, nothing. i recovered my doc’s and reinstalled windows xp. sadly, i still have absolutely no system sound. device manager says all is good. im thinking motherboard…boo. any ideas?

download latest motherboard and sound drivers for PC and go to
to update your computer
If all else is working fine it can’t be your motherboard. But it could be the sound card. Have an expert check it out.
Go to device manager , then sound driver right click and UN install it. restart computer, anew driver will be installed automatically.
