I have a corrupt registry – have lost use of my printer and get the dreaded “blue” screen or total “whiteout.” As well as some dll errors, etc.
I can’t seem to find a deep registry cleaner… There are some “cleaners’ available, but they only do a very shallow clean. I have windows XP operating system!

Registry cleaners do not work well. Your problem stems probably from a much deeper issue, like a corrupt or missing DLL. You may even have a bad sector on the hard drive. The best thing you can do is to reinstall your operating system. If you don’t have a disc put Linux on it. Try Xubuntu, it will run on anything and be fast.
If you’ve gone that far, it’d be better to reinstall the O/S completely instead of trying to “patch” fix the registry.
Back up all the programs and data files, then do the “nuke it from orbit” reinstall.
The above are correct, but if you want to stay on XP and keep your data without loosing hours to make backups and then reinstall, there is a service that would repair an XP machine in about 30 minutes without loosing any of your files.
Try it here
