Hi folks! I have a wierd situation with my computer and would be very grateful for any help!
System -> [P4 3.0GHz 1024 Mb RAM Win XP ]
My RAM usage is 300-500Mb when just sort of idling in windows. I don’t know for how long this has been going on. Just noticed today when the thing crashed while I was editing videos in Premier.
I added all the memory usage from the taskmanager and got 190Mb which seems more resonably so I’m curious who or whats using the additional RAM.
Any ideas anyone?? PLZ?

one cause could be a virus so the first thing you should do is a virus scan. If you don’t find anything, there could be a memory leak, so try killing any processes that you don’t think you need to see if they’re causing your memory usage to increase.
